Meet Your Therapist

Hi! I’m Erica (she/her/hers).

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). I hold a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology and have been working in the world of therapy for 6 years. My career began working as a Behavioural Therapist for children with Autism and other neurodiversities. I then transitioned into mental health counselling and psychotherapy for adolescents and adults, working in a range of settings including universities, private practice clinics, and community agencies. Each experience has helped shape who I am as a therapist and explore my identity in becoming one.

I pride myself on fostering strong interpersonal and therapeutic relationships, each one uniquely fitting with the range of clients that walk through my door. While maintaining a strong working relationship is an ongoing task, once the foundation has been built, I work alongside my clients to define areas of their world that they would like to change – and, even more so, how to actually engage in changing those parts of themselves. I believe that counselling and psychotherapy is not a means of “fixing” the things that bring hardship and pain, but rather is a process that can be endured in tandem with the triumphs, joys, and difficulties of life, to help better understand them and our responses to them; and ultimately, how to “grow through what you go through.”
